In the Year of the Dragon, we can begin to fully experience the essential nature of balance and stability in Chinese medicine. According to the Zodiac system, this year will be quite a volatile one, representing an upward surge of energy, that when harnessed will naturally align with growth, insight, creativity, and expansion. Join us to learn about traditional philosophies of health and wellbeing, everything from acupuncture treatments, diet, exercise, to understanding your attitude to life to help you reap the benefits of the Dragon Year.

Chinese Cookery Workshop with Guo Yue
11:00- 13:30
Learn to make special Chinese pancakes with fillings of aromatic duck; long-life glass noodles; pork with a special dipping sauce and a Woodland dish with crispy egg, bamboo and lily-flower. Then try your delicious creation at lunchtime.
Chinese Health and Beauty with Professor Mei
12:00- 13:00
Professor Mei will present an in-depth introduction to Chinese medicine. Focussing on herbal medicine, the lecture will discuss the benefits to sufferers of conditions which conventional medicine may not be able to treat, as well as looking at the preventative aspect of Chinese medicine for health, vitality and longevity.
Five Element Acupuncture with Aaron Deemer and Bruce McCallum

Qi Gong Workshop with Mimi Kuo-Deemer

Learn some basic Qigong practices that cultivate and promote the flow of Qi - or Chi - through the body
Chinese Tea and Culture and Modern Lifestyle with Don Mei

A comprehensive overview of the wonderful world of tea. Focussing specifically on Chinese teas, the lecture will touch upon the history of this diminutive little leaf and how it has shaped the world before discussing the different types of tea, how they are produced, and their myriad of health benefits. Includes tasting.
Chan Meditation Workshop with the London Fo Guang Shan Temple

This 2 hour workshop offers an introduction by living masters to East Asian Buddhism's oldest tradition of meditation.
