The West and Asia: Partners or Competitors?

BritishAmerican Business Annual Transatlantic Conference 2012

At the same time alluring and yet challenging, the economic "rise" of Asia has been viewed by UK and US businesses with increasing interest.  This conference's objective is to review the impact of the apparent extraordinary growth of Asia on global business opportunities, and what this may mean for companies who already have a presence, or who are looking to expand into these markets. As Asian businesses and business interests seek new markets and investments, we will focus also on understanding their ambitions in our domestic economies, as buyers, providers of capital, and managers. What are the likely trends and opportunities here?

The conference will analyse the key issues shaping the transatlantic business relationship with Asia as well as identifying the opportunities and barriers to business for UK and US companies.
