Mr Alpesh Patel is a past member of the Advisory Board of ICICI's private banking division and covers India, Singapore and Malaysia for the UKTI Global Entrepreneur Programme as their Senior Dealmaker, looking for outstanding entrepreneurs to set up base in the UK.

Mr Patel is founder of Praefinium Partners, an asset management company which launched a hedge fund in 2004 (US) and Private Equity funds in 2009 (investing in India).

He is a former Visiting Fellow in Business, Oxford University and a Barrister. For the Financial Times he wrote a weekly column and authored 16 books. He also co-presented Bloomberg TV for 3 years.

He was appointed by the Foreign Secretary to the UK India Roundtable to provide policy suggestions to the PM on closening ties with India, and once as a US Congressional intern for Hon. Eliot Engel, he worked on lobbying the White House on countries involved in international terrorism.
