There’s a tiger in reception!
For the next week, visitors to Asia House can see a striking crystal studded tiger head by artist Lauren Baker in the reception of 63 New Cavendish Street before it is auctioned to raise money to save the wild tiger.

During this year’s hotly-anticipated Festival of Asian Literature, a band of young reporters will join our team once again to develop their journalistic instincts and report on our connecting cultures events for families.
In partnership with Reading Acivists, the project will give a group of London’s young people aged 13-16 the chance to learn new skills to develop their writing and their confidence.

In a small private meeting this month, Dr Jahangir Hajiyev, Chairman of the International Bank of Azerbaijan, signed an agreement to become a Champion Supporter of Asia House.

Festival of Asian Literature director Adrienne Loftus Parkins previews the hottest new books about Asia.
One big perk of being the director of the Festival of Asian Literature at Asia House is that I get an almost daily delivery of new books - before they are even published. This not only leads to precariously high piles of books in my office, but it allows me to be far ahead on the literature curve.
So to kick off the New Year, I'd like to share some of my good fortune by previewing the best of what will come our way over the next few months.
