Asia House has expanded its Business and Policy team to meet increasing demand for its corporate services.

Isabelle Meere and Jana Psarska have joined the team to strengthen the Business and Policy programme, and the research and advisory services offered to Asia House corporate members and clients.

The appointments come as Asia House launches a new Middle East Programme and expands its research activity.

Isabelle, who has joined Asia House as a Content Producer, will develop the Asia House events and research programmes, with a particular focus on emerging shifts in the global trade and investment architecture.

Working closely with current Content Producer Anthea Ow, Isabelle will liaise with Asia House’s corporate network and stakeholders in Asian and Western governments to ensure the Business and Policy programme captures the issues that matter to them.

Before joining Asia House, Isabelle worked for Bank Indonesia – Indonesia’s Central Bank – where her research informed policy recommendations. She has a background in law and international affairs, having previously assisted researchers at the Centre for Asian and Pacific Law in Sydney, Australia, primarily focusing on China, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Middle East.

“I am excited to be joining the Business and Policy team, especially at a such a dynamic time in international relations, trade and business,” Isabelle said.

“This is a time when we can provide real value to our clients and I am looking forward to contributing to that.”

Jana has joined Asia House as Account Manager – a role in which she will work closely with existing clients to ensure their commercial interests are met through Asia House’s range of services. She will also assist with the development of the Asia House corporate network and help enhance the corporate services provided by the Business and Policy programme.

Previously, Jana worked at ICIS, part of the RELX group, where she assisted corporate clients with their engagement activity. Bringing international relations experience with her to Asia House, Jana previously worked with Frontier Strategy Group and GLOBSEC Policy Institute, where she was a Project Manager.

Jana said: “I am very excited to be joining the team at Asia House to help expand and deliver corporate services to its growing client base.”

This is set to be an important year for Asia House as it continues to grow and offer more services to corporate members and clients.

Asia House’s research activity, for example, is already expanding, with a report for the City of London Corporation published in January and research on ASEAN and the Middle East nearing publication.

Charlie Humphreys, Director of Corporate Affairs at Asia House, who leads the organisation’s Business and Policy work, said: “I am very pleased to welcome Isabelle and Jana to our busy team at this crucial time.

“Countries traditionally identified as emerging markets, many of which are in Asia, are playing an increasingly important role in the global economy, both as drivers of global growth, but also as new forces for change in the international rules-based order. In this context, the role of Asia House in creating new thinking between Asia and Europe on international trade and investment has never been more relevant.

“As we continue to expand the team to meet this demand, I am confident that Isabelle and Jana will add significant value to our corporate members, clients and stakeholders and I look forward to working with them to further develop the impact of our work.”
