Asia House will host a private briefing with Dr Janil Puthucheary, Minister of State, Ministry of Transport & Communications and Information, and Minister-in-charge of GovTech, Singapore, on Thursday 15 November.
Singapore is transforming itself into a Smart Nation in this era of digital disruption, seeking to improve the lives of its citizens by harnessing the power of networks, data and info-comm technologies. Urban Mobility is one of the key focus areas of Singapore’s Smart Nation initiative: with one of the highest population densities in the world, the Singapore government is leveraging technology to enhance existing public transportation systems and explore novel modes of transport for the future.
In this briefing, Dr Janil will outline how Singapore’s Smart Nation vision is being translated into reality, and the issues that need to be addressed, particularly in the area of transport. Dr Janil will also speak more broadly on the Singapore government’s approach to disruptive technologies, how the government is transforming itself, and how it is working with the business community and its citizens to enhance the country’s digital readiness.
This briefing is for Asia House corporate members only. To register, or for any further information, please contact Aini Abdullah in the Business & Policy team at: firstname.lastname@example.org
