    Mark Bowman, Director General, International and EU at HM Treasury, briefs Asia House corporate members on Brexit

    Asia House corporate members received insights on Brexit from the Treasury’s Mark Bowman.                     

    Mark Bowman, Director General, International Finance at HM Treasury and member of the UK’s Brexit negotiation team, briefed Asia House corporate members this morning on the Treasury’s involvement in the Brexit process.

    Mr. Bowman is part of the negotiation team that will lead the UK’s departure from the European Union. As Director General at the HM Treasury, he is responsible for advancing the UK’s economic and financial interests internationally and in the European Union, and leads the Treasury’s work with foreign finance ministries, central banks and international institutions.

    He was speaking as part of Asia House’s Brexit Series, which aims to give Asia House members unique and informed insights into the latest developments on the UK’s exit from the EU.

    Topics discussed in the briefing included the current stage of Brexit negotiations, the view from the EU’s 27 member states in regards to Brexit, and the UK’s future trade relations with emerging countries given UK’s departure from the European Union.

    Corporate members represented at the event included Lloyds Bank, Jardines, Kroll, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Mitsui & Co.
