The UK’s export strategy and current trade conditions were points of discussion at Asia House this morning when Baroness Rona Fairhead, the UK Minister of State for Trade and Export Promotion, gave a briefing to Asia House corporate members.
Baroness Fairhead, whose responsibilities include promoting UK goods and services aboard, was appointed to the Department for International Trade (DIT) in November 2017.
In the private briefing, attended by Asia House corporate members, Baroness Fairhead discussed the priorities for DIT and its activities, and fielded questions on issues such as financial support for exporters, government resources and the post-Brexit transition from UK-EU trade arrangements.
The exclusive briefing was part of the Asia House Brexit Series – a programme of events aimed at providing insights to corporate members on Brexit and its wider implications for trade and investment.
