Asia is set to drive global infrastructure spending over the next decade. Emerging Asia will account for 65% of global infrastructure spending in 2025, according to a recent PwC-Oxford Economics report Capital Project and Infrastructure Spending: Outlook to 2025. As economies in the region grow, the infrastructure needs will change. What will future infrastructure demands be? Drawing on findings of the PwC report Infrastructure development in Asia Pacific (APEC): The next 10 years, this event will look at the key trends that will shape infrastructure development in Asia Pacific over the next decade. Mark has extensive experience in structuring projects that straddle the complex interface between public and private partnerships. He has been integral to the development of numerous project structures, risk allocation and mitigation strategies and the related funding solutions in various sectors in the UK and across Asia Pacific.

Peter Budd, Global Aviation Business Leader, Arup
Peter is Leader of Arup’s aviation business globally, a Director of Ove Arup & Partners Ltd and Chairman of Arup Scotland. He has extensive experience working in the Asia Pacific region having been involved in infrastructure project development in China, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Taiwan and India. He Chairs the Airports Advisory Council which advises the British Government on matters relating to export policy in the sector. He is a member of the UK government’s 2030 UK/Indonesia Trade Vision Group and the UK/Vietnam Network.
Prem Mahi, Development Director – Power Sector, Mott MacDonald
Prem is the Development Director of the Power Group of Mott MacDonald responsible for business development and strategic thinking for its global offerings in the power sector. He has also worked on power related projects globally including Asia and with customer ‘Going Out of Asia’ to invest in other regions. Prem’s technical interests include carbon capture and storage, pollution control and writing thought leadership articles.
Rachael De Renzy Channer, Head of Strategy Implementation, Schneider-Electric
Rachael is the Head of Strategy Implementation for Schneider-Electric UK & Ireland and formerly the Director of Strategy & Planning for Invensys plc.; acquired by Scheider-Electric last year. She has been involved in corporate thinking around Smart Grids, which has evolved into considering Smart Cities over the last few years. She focuses primarily on the mega trends and the behavioural challenges facing established corporations in participating in smart city infrastructure projects.
