CANCELLED: The Outlook for China’s Economy
Please note: Due to unforeseen circumstances this event has been cancelled
China is currently undergoing a period of rapid economic change. Global trade tensions have shaken markets, with rising concerns in relation to the widening fallout from US-China trade tensions. At the same time, Chinese demand for steel and crude oil is rising to meet the demands of the Belt and Road Initiative. China is also leading the way in investments in sustainable climate-change technologies, in step with the 13th Five Year Plan.
The Chinese economy is being reshaped against this backdrop, throwing up important questions such as: Which industries will be prioritised to drive economic growth? How will global trends in demand and supply shape consumption and investment in China? How will these impact China’s current focus on green technologies?
In this roundtable held in partnership with BHP, Arnoud Balhuizen, Chief Commercial Officer of BHP, will discuss the outlook for China’s economy and how business can tap into the opportunities that Chinese economic growth brings.
