Asia House Middle East Programme: Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 – Education & Training Seminar
With more than half of Saudi Arabia’s population under 30, education and training has become a key part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. In addition, more than 50 per cent of university graduates are female and as a result equal opportunities has also been highlighted as a key development area.
Saudi plans to invest heavily in the development of their education and training system, including vocational training, for their young population over the coming years.
Its plan to diversify the economy and unlock promising economic sectors requires Saudi to build an education system that is aligned with market needs, as well as focus on creating opportunities for the entrepreneur, small enterprise and the large corporation alike.
Given that Vision 2030 aspirations for the education sector will be mostly led by the private sector, Saudi has unlocked the sector for foreign investments with focus on high impact and sustainable investments.
On 21 January, Asia House will hold an education and training seminar, looking into the opportunities opening up in the Saudi market. We will be hosting a Saudi Education and Training delegation, led by the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA), which will include representatives from the education ecosystem in Saudi Arabia.
A light networking lunch will be followed by a SAGIA presentation and a panel session on the education and training opportunities in Saudi Arabia. Bilateral meetings will also be available to those who request them.
To express interest in attending or to arrange a bilateral meeting with the SAGIA Education team following the event, please contact Cordelia Begbie, Middle East Programme Manager at cordelia.begbie@asiahouse.co.uk.
