Asia House Research and Advisory puts China under focus

    Published On: 19 December 2018

The forces shaping the Chinese economy were explored at Asia House during a Research and Advisory roundtable discussion with leading industry analysts.

The likely developments in the US-China trade war and the changing business landscape in China were covered in the ‘Understanding China’ forum, which included insights from Doug Lippoldt, Chief Trade Economist, HSBC Global Research; Gordon Orr, Senior Advisor, McKinsey, and non-executive Board Member for Swire Pacific and Lenovo; and Jinny Yan, Managing Director and Chief China Economist, ICBC Standard Bank.

Ed Ratcliffe, Head of Research and Advisory at Asia House, also shared insights from his recent visit to China, where he met with senior government officials.

Ed said: “One of the aims of the Research and Advisory practice is to help organisations gain a clearer understanding of their markets of interest. This discussion provided a range of insights and intelligence which aided a better understanding of the dynamics of the Chinese economy in the context of the global trade environment.

“We are fortunate at Asia House to have an extensive network, built up over 20 years, which enables us to bring key figures to the Asia House forum to share their unique insights and advice.”
