Asia House briefing: Lebanese Minister of State for Investment and Technology
Technology has become a priority sector for the Lebanese government, as well as a significant area of investment. Lebanon has a liberal economic system in which the private sector plays a pivotal role. Already well-known for being a regional centre for trade and business, it also acts as an excellent gateway to other Middle Eastern Markets, given its strategic geographical position.
H.E. Adel Afiouni, Lebanese Minister of State for Investment and Technology, will brief Asia House Corporate Members on the growing technology sector. He will cover foreign investment priorities and the most recent technology initiatives, which aim to benefit both local and international companies setting up in Lebanon. H.E. Afiouni has spent more than 25 years working in major international investment banks in Paris, New York and London. He was previously Head of Emerging Markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa for Credit Suisse Bank, and managed numerous projects and financing operations in emerging countries.
