Lubna Olayan to give keynote speech at Asia House conference in Riyadh

    Published On: 6 January 2020

Lubna Olayan, Chair of the Executive Committee and Deputy Chairman of Olayan Financing Company (OFC), will make the keynote speech at this year’s Asia House Middle East Trade Dialogue, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on 25 February.

Olayan, who previously served as Chief Executive Officer of OFC – the holding company for The Olayan Group’s trading, real estate, investment, consumer and industrial related operations in the Gulf region – is a leading private sector figure in the Middle East, having presided over the rapid expansion of investment and commercial activity in Saudi Arabia and beyond.

The Asia House Middle East Trade Dialogue, sponsored by SABB, takes place in the year that Saudi Arabia hosts the G20, and will put the Kingdom’s priority areas in focus. Sustainability, renewable energies and the role of women in the economy will be explored, alongside wider developments in global trade.

Other speakers at the conference – held as part of the Asia House Middle East Programme – include Simon Penney, Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner to the Middle East, UK Government; Victor Gao, Vice President, Center for China and Globalization; and Lord Green, Chairman of Asia House and former Chairman of HSBC.

The dialogue is supported by the Saudi Arabia General Investment Authority (SAGIA), and meetings with SAGIA sector heads can be arranged for conference delegates.
