This week, Asia House attended the UK Labour Party Annual Conference 2024 in Liverpool.
At the UK’s biggest political event of the year, Asia House held several meetings with senior figures from the new government, gaining valuable insights into their approach to UK-Asia relations.
Asia House also hosted fringe meetings with ministers Catherine West MP, UK Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State (Indo-Pacific), and Douglas Alexander MP, the UK Minister of State for Trade Policy and Economic Security, focusing on the government’s strategy for trade policy in Asia and the Gulf.
These sessions provided an excellent opportunity to hear directly from decision-makers and gain a clearer understanding of their priorities.
We look forward to future collaborations and the continued strengthening of UK-Asia relations.
