Asia House will welcome Mark Gooding OBE, British Ambassador to Thailand, on 7 June to speak off-the-record with Corporate Members about the 2023 Thai general election and the country’s political and economic outlook.
With Thailand’s general election due to take place on 14 May, this exclusive briefing will reflect upon the election result and provide insights on what it may mean for Thailand’s future. Ambassador Gooding will address the impact of the result on the UK-Thailand relationship, and the outlook for the ongoing UK-Thailand Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO).
Asia House Corporate Members will also hear about Thailand’s efforts to attract investment and establish itself as a key node within global electric vehicle supply chains, and the potential regional impact of the general election in an increasingly complex geopolitical environment.
