Asia House Brexit Series: Mark Bowman
Mark Bowman, Director General, International Finance at HM Treasury, will brief Asia House corporate members about the responsibilities of the HM Treasury that include the delivery of HM Treasury’s work programme, in particular supporting the Government’s objectives to promote macroeconomic stability and maintain confidence in the macro policy framework, which is to promote stability, fairness, efficiency and competitiveness in financial markets and to promote sustainable economic growth.
HM Treasury is the UK Government’s economic and finance ministry, maintaining control over public spending, and setting the direction of the UK’s economic policy.

Mark Bowman is Director General, International Finance at HM Treasury with responsibility for advancing the UK’s economic and financial interests internationally and in the European Union. He leads HM Treasury’s work with foreign finance ministries, central banks and international institutions. He is the UK’s Finance Deputy at the G7 and G20 and represents the UK in the EU’s Economic and Financial Committee. Mr Bowman is also a member of the Treasury’s Executive Management Board.
