Asia House Brexit Series: Mark Bowman, HM Treasury

Brexit negotiations formally started in June this year. Mark Bowman, Director General, International Finance at HM Treasury, is part of the negotiation team that will lead the UK’s departure from the European Union. He will brief Asia House corporate members about the HM Treasury’s involvement in the process of Brexit.

HM Treasury is the UK Government’s economic and finance ministry, maintaining control over public spending, and setting the direction of the UK’s economic policy.

Mark Bowman is Director General, International Finance at HM Treasury with responsibility for advancing the UK’s economic and financial interests internationally and in the European Union. He leads HM Treasury’s work with foreign finance ministries, central banks and international institutions. He is the UK’s Finance Deputy at the G7 and G20 and represents the UK in the EU’s Economic and Financial Committee. Mr Bowman is also a member of the Treasury’s Executive Management Board.

This briefing is for Asia House corporate members only. To register, please contact Evie Cramb at evie.cramb@asiahouse.co.uk .

This event is taking place as part of the Asia House Brexit Series, which examines the implications of Brexit with a focus on both the UK’s and the EU’s relationship with Asia both economically and politically.
