Asia House Brexit Series: Stephen Kinnock MP
Labour MP Stephen Kinnock will join Asia House corporate members on 18 June for a private, off the record briefing as part of the Asia House Brexit Series.
Kinnock is on both the European Scrutiny Select Committee and the Committee on Exiting the European Union, which look at the progress of the UK’s negotiations on EU withdrawal.
Following the release of a report released by the Brexit Committee, he likened the government’s current position to being “a person trapped on a burning platform.” He has campaigned for the UK to transition into the European Economic Area (EEA) – which includes Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein – to allow the UK to continue its unrestricted access to the single market.
Kinnock has been an MP since 2015. Previously, he was the Director and Head of Europe and Central Asia at the World Economic Forum and Vice President of the European Commission.
This event is part of Asia House’s Brexit Series – a programme of exclusive events aimed at providing unique and informed insights to Asia House corporate members.
