Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam, Pham Binh Minh
The global economy is undergoing rapid transformation, with Asia’s economic rise driving dramatic shifts in the geopolitical and strategic landscape.
Vietnam, as one of the world’s fastest-growing economies, a key node for investment, and a strategic partner of the UK, is at the centre of future Asian growth. It also is a member of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership – agreements which promise to reshape economic relations and supply chains throughout the Asia Pacific.
In this lunchtime briefing, Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam Pham Binh Minh, who also serves as Minister of Foreign Affairs, will speak on Vietnam’s political and economic outlook and the future of UK-Vietnam strategic partnership and UK-ASEAN relations in view of Brexit and the shifting global strategic and trade landscape.
The Deputy Prime Minister will also engage in discussions with multinational companies on how best to draw investment, enhance mutual trust, and nurture mutually-beneficial, long-term relationships in Vietnam.
The off-the-record event will be moderated by Asia House Chief Executive, Michael Lawrence.
A two-course lunch followed by coffee and tea will be served.
This event has highly limited space. For more information and to register your interest in attending, please contact Aini Abdullah, Business and Policy Programme Assistant, at aini.abdullah@asiahouse.co.uk
