Erick Thohir, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Indonesia
Just weeks before Indonesia hosts the G20 in Bali, Asia House will welcome Erick Thohir, Indonesia’s Minister of State Owned Enterprises, for an in-person briefing with Corporate Members.
Minister Thohir will provide an update on efforts to reform Indonesia’s state owned enterprises (SOEs), the importance of SOEs to Indonesia’s post-COVID-19 economic recovery, and the role they can play in helping Indonesia navigate complex global economic headwinds. The Minister will be joined by representatives from major Indonesian state-owned enterprises from the oil and gas (Pertamina), mining (Mind ID), and financial (Mandiri) sectors.
Asia House’s corporate network will also hear Minister Thohir’s views on Indonesia’s G20 ambitions and the country’s economic growth and investment outlook. Indonesia’s net-zero ambitions and the role of SOEs in delivering the country’s climate goals will also be discussed during the briefing, which takes place at Asia House, London, on Friday 30 September.
Chaired by Asia House Chief Executive Michael Lawrence, the discussion represents a key opportunity for Corporate Members to gain unique insights into Southeast Asia’s largest economy.
