The New Global Trade Order: George Hollingbery, UK Minister of State for Trade Policy
George Hollingbery MP, Minister of State for Trade Policy at the Department for International Trade, will brief Asia House corporate members on Tuesday 11 December on UK trade policy towards some of its major trading partners in Asia. Mr Hollingbery will also exchange views with major businesses on the future direction of UK-Asia trade.
Mr Hollingbery was appointed Minister of State for Trade Policy in June 2018, and helms the Trade Policy Group. In this role he leads the Department of International Trade on developing, coordinating and delivering the UK’s forthcoming trade policy. He is also in charge of the UK’s economic diplomacy strategy, the Prosperity Fund, economic horizons markets and Official Development Assistance. Mr Hollingbery previously served as the Prime Minister’s Parliamentary Private Secretary from July 2016 to June 2018, and before that as Government Whip (Lord Commissioner of Her Majesty’s Treasury).
