    Indonesia Economic Dialogue

    Asia House will welcome senior officials from Bank Indonesia to engage with our corporate network in an off-the-record dialogue.  Experts will update Asia House’s network on recent macroeconomic developments, outlooks, and risks in Indonesia, and how these will shape the country’s current and future investment climate.  Also in focus will be Indonesia’s investment policy and strategy, as well as priority sectors and projects.

    Dody Budi Waluyo, Deputy Governor, Bank Indonesia

    Dody Budi Waluyo is the Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia. Previously, Dody served as Assistant Governor and Head of Economic & Monetary Policy Department from 2016 to 2018.

    Dody started his career in Bank Indonesia in 1988. Before serving as the Assistant Governor of Bank Indonesia, Dody has held several important positions within the central bank. Among his other positions, Dody was Head of Strategic Management & Governance Department (2014-2016), Head of Economic & Monetary Policy Department (2013-2014), Head of Strategic Planning & Public Relations Department (2012-2013), and Director of International Directorate (2012).

    As one of the best economists at Bank Indonesia, Dody was a member of the Working Groups of G20, BIS, IMF, and World Bank. He was also part of the FDI Statistics Working Group in ASEAN (2003-2006), and Advisor to the Executive Director of the South East Asia Voting Group at the International Monetary Fund (2000-2003).


    Dwi Pranoto, Assistant Governor – Head of Regional Department, Bank Indonesia 

    Dwi Pranoto currently serves as Assistant Governor – Head of Regional Department at Bank Indonesia. He previously served as Head of BI Region III Representative (2012-2013), Head of BI Region IV Representative (2013-2014), and Head of Regional II Department (2014-2019).

    As Head of Regional Department, Dwi provides recommendations on regional economic policies and supports the central bank’s decision-making in monetary policy, macroprudential regulation, payment systems, and currency management. He is responsible for coordinating assessments of the regional economy, finance, and inflation, and is instrumental in implementing the follow-up on central bank’s regional directives. Dwi supervises the central bank regional offices in carrying out their duties and functions, including in promoting regional investment opportunities and developing investible projects across Indonesia.
