Indonesia Investment Forum 2022
Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Investment, Indonesia, will be among the speakers at the Indonesia Investment Forum 2022, which takes place in London on 27 October 2022.
Organised by The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, the Indonesia Investment Promotion Centre, and Bank Indonesia’s Representative Office in London, and supported by Asia House, the forum will act as a platform for discussion on investment opportunities in Indonesia’s green and sustainable economy. This timely dialogue is of key interest this year given Indonesian’s presidency of the G20, and will take place just weeks before the summit in Bali in November.
Key figures at the heart of Indonesia’s economy will provide insights on topics ranging from Indonesia’s ambitions for its G20 chairmanship and the country’s economic agenda, to ways in which investment into Indonesia can be accelerated.

Bahlil Lahadalia
Minister of Investment, Indonesia
Bahlil Lahadalia is the Minister of Investment/Chairman of Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board. He has an extensive professional record prior to serving in the cabinet. In 2003, his name was registered at the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) at the district, provincial, and central level boards. After various experiences in the organisation, Bahlil decided to set up his own company. He now has 10 companies in various fields under the banner of PT Rifa Capital.
Perry Warjiyo
Governor, Bank Indonesia (Video address)
Perry Warjiyo has served as Governor of Bank Indonesia since 2018. Prior to this appointment he served as the Central Bank’s Deputy Governor from 2013. Governor Perry had also held the position of Assistant Governor for Monetary, Macroprudential and International Policy as well as the Executive Director of the Economic Research and Monetary Policy Department. He has also held the post of Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), representing 13 member countries under the auspices of the Southeast Asia Voting Group from 2007-2009.
Toto Nugroho
President Director of Indonesia Battery Corporation
Toto Nugroho has more than 25 years’ experience in the energy sector, including the development of refinery and petrochemical projects at Pertamina as President Director in subsidiaries related to international oil trading and in gas transmission and distribution companies. He has served as Senior Vice President in managing fuel security throughout Indonesia, along with the import and export process of Crude Oil, BBM and LPG. He was appointed President Director of Indonesia Battery Corporation in 2021.
Desra Percaya
Indonesian Ambassador to the United Kingdom
Dr Desra Percaya was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Kingdom, Ireland, and IMO in October 2020. Throughout his career, he has helped shape Indonesia’s policies, particularly regarding international peace and security, disarmament, human rights, economic development, as well as social and humanitarian affairs. Dr Desra was previously Director General for Asia Pacific and Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has served as Permanent Representative of Indonesia to the United Nations in New York (2012-2016), as well as Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative of Indonesia to the WTO and other international organisations in Geneva (2009-2011).
Dominic Johnson CBE
Minister for Investment, UK
Dominic Johnson CBE was appointed a Minister of State jointly in the Department for International Trade and the Cabinet Office on 2 October 2022. He served as a non-executive board member of the Department for International Trade between 9 November 2020 and 02 October 2022, where he was Chair of the department’s Audit and Risk Assurance Committee. Dominic has spent the last 25 years in entrepreneurial, international finance starting his career at Robert Fleming in 1995, before moving to Jardine Fleming, Hong Kong, in 1998. He set up various dotcom business in the early 2000s and ultimately moved into asset management in 2001.
Nurul Ichwan
Deputy Minister for Investment Promotion, Indonesia
Nurul Ichwan is Deputy Minister for Investment Promotion, Ministry of Investment / Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board. He was previously Deputy Chairman for Investment Planning (2020 – April 2022), Director of Investment Planning for Services and Economic Zones (January 2020 – September 2020) and Director of Regional Promotion Facilities (2018 – 2020). He served as the Director of Investment Promotion Centre in London between 2015 and 2018.
Farida Peranginangin
Chief of London Bank Indonesia Representative Office
Farida Peranginangin is currently the Chief Representative of the central bank of Indonesia, in London since February 2022. Prior to her overseas based position, she was an executive director serving as the head of the central bank’s statistics department. She has been with the central bank of Indonesia since 1993, and mostly spent her career at the area of payment and settlement systems. She holds a doctoral degree on strategic management from the University of Indonesia.
Lord Vaizey of Didcot
Chair, UK-ASEAN Business Council
Ed Vaizey served as Minister of State at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, with responsibility for digital industries from July 2014 until July 2016. Previously he served as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries from May 2010 until July 2014. Ed was elected as the MP for Wantage in 2005.
Rino Donosepoetro
Vice Chairman for ASEAN, Standard Chartered and Chairman of The British Chamber of Commerce (BritCham) Indonesia
As the Vice Chairman for ASEAN at Standard Chartered, Rino Donosepoetro is responsible for driving execution of the bank’s ASEAN strategy and providing governance oversight over Standard Chartered’s footprints that span across all 10 ASEAN countries. Prior to this, he held the role as CEO for Standard Chartered Bank Indonesia since September 2016 and he was the first Indonesian to hold this post in the Bank’s 160 years operations in the country.
Mallika Ishwaran
Chief Economist, Shell
Mallika is Shell’s Chief Economist. She advises on macroeconomic issues, economic trends, and related policy matters to shape Shell’s long-term scenario outlooks. She leads strategic engagements on energy transitions with national and city governments across the world, notably a multi-year collaboration with the Chinese government. Mallika also advises on Shell’s strategic policy and advocacy approach to support the company’s energy transition strategy. She sits on a range of external advisory boards.
Anindya Bakrie
CEO, Bakrie & Brothers
Anindya Novyan Bakrie is an Indonesian business magnate, global investor and prominent philanthropist. Through his business community leadership roles over the years, he represents Indonesia and Indo-Pacific business community voices in global fora and summits. He is the CEO of Bakrie & Brothers (BNBR) an Indonesian listed conglomerate with interests in infrastructure, electric vehicle, mining, oil & gas, power (incl. renewables and solar), property, and plantations. He is also the successor to the 80-year-old Bakrie group, one of the largest business groups growing with and for Indonesia, with 10 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with a combined market capitalisation of more than US$15 billion.
