Natalie Black CBE, HM Trade Commissioner for Asia Pacific
His Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for Asia Pacific Natalie Black CBE will speak with Asia House’s Corporate Members on the UK’s trade ambitions throughout Asia during a private briefing on 7 March.
With the UK pursuing several trade and investment agreements with partners throughout the Asia Pacific, Natalie Black will provide an update on ongoing negotiations ranging from CPTPP to Joint Economic and Trade Committees (JETCO’s) with Indonesia and Thailand. Digital trade with Asia will also be in focus, especially in light of the UK’s recent digital economy agreements with Japan and Singapore. Possible collaboration in the fields of green energy and green finance emerging from the UK-Singapore Green Economy Framework will also be covered.
Natalie Black will also discuss the impact of the recent Government reshuffle upon the UK’s trade outlook, and update Corporate Members on the importance of trade with Asian partners within the priorities of the new Department for Business and Trade.
