Presented by the Silk Road Working Group: The Silk Road Investment Forum
The Silk Road Investment Forum is the premier event for Eurasian infrastructure investment. It will bring together the leading investors, advisors, officials, contractors and suppliers contributing to successful Silk Road initiatives.
It builds on the Silk Road Summit & Business Forum held in September 2016, the Silk Road Infrastructure Development Roundtable held in October 2015 in Washington and the Euro-Asia Economic Forum held in Xi’an in September 2015. These events featured the leading governments, multilateral organisations and private sector firms driving infrastructure and related investments throughout the Silk Road region. The Silk Road Investment Forum brings to London for the first time this impressive group of leaders and dealmakers.
Key topics of discussion will include trade, infrastructure, development finance, public-private partnerships, risk management, and the policy environment.
The Forum will also have a sector-specific focus with finance, transportation, logistics, energy, telecoms, mining and smart cities on the agenda.
Speakers at the event include:
H.E. Tamar Beruchashvili, Ambassador of Georgia to the United Kingdom
H.E. Baiba Braže, Ambassador of Latvia to the United Kingdom
Ian Twinn, Global Head, Transportation, International Finance Corporation (IFC)
Agris Preimanis, Associate Director, Regional Lead Economist, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)
Gordon Welsh, Head of the Business Group and Executive Committee Member, UK Export Finance
