    Re-alignment post-Brexit: Power centres in Asia

    The University of Nottingham will formally launch the University of Nottingham Asia Research Institute on the evening of Tuesday 12 June 2018 at Asia House.

    The Director of the University of Nottingham Asia Research Institute, Professor Katharine Adeney, will be in conversation with:

    Carrie Gracie, Journalist, BBC China Editor (2014-2018)

    Lord Desai, Emeritus Professor of Economics

    Barry Gardiner MP, UK Shadow Secretary of State for International Trade

    Dr Aijuan Wang, Strategy Director, Mott MacDonald

    The discussion will address topical issues including the Belt and Road Initiative and its impact on regional relations, China’s rise in the international financial system, and whether India’s historic links with the UK provide an opportunity post-Brexit.

    The event is part of the University of Nottingham’s Institute for Policy and Engagement’s Global Dialogues series.

    The University of Nottingham is a Chairman’s Circle Member of Asia House and this event is part of the University of Nottingham and Asia House flagship partnership.
