Sir Julian King Breakfast Briefing: China

Sir Julian King KCVO CMG, Director-General, Economic and Consular at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office will give a private briefing exclusively for Asia House corporate members focused on China, followed by roundtable discussion under the Chatham House Rule.

With a number of new initiatives introduced in the recent Fourth Plenum and an ongoing programme of reform in China, we are interested in facilitating discussion on commercial issues relating to the country. It will also be an opportunity to raise issues relating to government policy.

Previous to his current post, Sir Julian was appointed Director General of the Northern Ireland Office from November 2011 to June 2014. Sir Julian was Ambassador to Ireland from 2009 to 2011. He has served in a number of posts (Brussels, New York, Paris, Luxembourg, The Hague, Lisbon) as well as in London. From 2008 to 2009 he worked in the European Commission, on secondment, heading the Office of the British Commissioner.

This event is open to Asia House corporate members only.
