Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Foxconn has announced a US$10bn investment in a new factory in Wisconsin US creating 3000 jobs.

The announcement by Foxconn founder Terry Gou, has been hailed as an ‘incredible investment’ by US President Donald Trump, reports the BBC

“To make such an incredible investment, Chairman Gou put his faith and confidence in the future of the American economy,” Trump said.

Foxconn which manufacturers electronics for global companies including Apple, Tesla and BMW, recently shed 60,000 jobs and replaced them with robots.
