In its annual flagship publication Asian Development Outlook, the Asian Development Bank said that Indonesia’s economy will continue to grow in 2017 and 2018, underpinned by improvements in private investment and exports as well as higher public infrastructure spending. The report projects Indonesia’s GDP growth to reach 5.1 per cent in 2017 and 5.2 per cent in 2018. Public infrastructure spending as well as private investment is expected to increase.

Indonesia has been a key element of Asia House Business & Policy Programme. In April 2016 we chaired a private briefing with President Joko Widodo. Thomas Lembong, Chairman of the Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), recently gave an interview to Asia House Chief Executive Michael Lawrence as did Finance Minister Sri Mulyani.
