    Published On: 9 August 2018

The Chairman of the Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) and former Indonesian Trade Minister, Tom Lembong, will speak at Asia House’s major conference in Singapore this November.

As Chairman of BKPM, Lembong oversees the investment climate in Indonesia and is responsible for securing smart investment into the country.

He will participate in Asia House’s major trade dialogue, Asia Trade in the New Global Order, taking place in Singapore on 22 November.

The conference focuses on the key themes driving change in the global trade system, including geopolitical and trade policy shifts, the disrupting effect of new technologies, and developments in the infrastructure landscape in the region, including the Belt and Road Initiative. Delegates will hear unique insights from those at the heart of global trade and investment.

Prior to joining BKPM, Lembong served as Minister of Trade of Indonesia from August 2015 to July 2016 following an impressive career in finance.

He was a Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer, Managing Partner, and Partner at Quvat Management Pte Ltd, a private equity fund established in 2006, and has also served as President Commissioner at PT Graha Layar Prima Tbk (BlitzMegaplex).
