BKPM and HSBC Indonesia to host investment forum in Bali

    Published On: 21 September 2018

The Indonesian Investment Coordination Board (BKPM) and HSBC Indonesia, with the support of the Indonesian Government, are inviting delegates to an investment forum in Bali on 11 October 2018.

Indonesia aims to be the biggest economy in ASEAN and the world’s fourth largest economy by 2045. Underpinning this ambition is the need for both hard and soft infrastructure to cater for and facilitate this economic growth.

It is estimated that there are more than US$131 billion worth of opportunities for the private sector as Indonesia pursues these aims.

The forum, held in line with the IMF-World Bank Group annual meeting, will hear from Thomas Lembong, Chairman of the Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board, as well as a panel of expert speakers.

They will give insights on the Indonesian Government’s roadmap, address the current investment climate and inherent risks, as well as present opportunities in other growth sectors such as tourism, the digital economy, health, education and services.

Discussions will also illuminate success factors for Public Private Partnership projects and what Indonesia is doing to attract necessary additional capital.
