Ceferino S. Rodolfo, Undersecretary at the Department of Trade and Industry, the Philippines briefs Asia House on the Philippines’ trade and investment outlook

Ceferino S. Rodolfo, Undersecretary at the Department of Trade and Industry, the Philippines, provided Asia House with the latest updates on the Philippines’ economic and investment environment at an off-the-record briefing on Thursday 16 May.  

The Undersecretary discussed key outcomes from last month’s historic trilateral summit between the US, Japan and the Philippines, opportunities for investment in its renewable energy sector and strategic partnerships with third countries. Undersecretary Rodolfo was joined at Asia House by the President of the Philippine Nickel Industry Association, Atty. Dante Bravo, who discussed developments in the country’s critical minerals sector.

Asia House Corporate Members asked the Undersecretary for his views on a wide range of topics, including the government’s plans to invest in human capital, opportunities to participate in the Philippines’ Build Better More programme and the prospect of future regulatory changes. 

Chaired by Asia House Director of Corporate Affairs Charlie Humphreys, the briefing provided valuable insights into the Philippines’ trade and investment priorities under the current administration.
