Dr Shogo Akagawa, Editor-in-Chief for EMEA at Nikkei, provided Asia House with his insights on trade, economic and security trends in Japan at an off-the-record briefing on Thursday 17 October.
Speaking at Asia House, Dr Akagawa explored Japan’s economic and security relationship with countries including the UK, Germany, France and the US, while also reflecting on the potential impact of the US election on Japan’s future policies. Updates on Japan’s upcoming election, the key figures in new Japan Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba’s cabinet and Japan’s perspective of the new UK government’s approach to China, was also discussed.
