Gourangalal Das, India’s Director General of the East Asia Division at the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) provided Asia House Corporate Members with the latest updates on India’s economic and security relations with China at an off-the-record briefing on Monday 28 October.
Director General Das shared updates on the India-China relationship, including the recent India-China patrolling agreement and the Modi-Xi meeting at last week’s Brics summit in Kazan. Discussions also explored India’s widening trade deficit with China, its role in the evolving global supply chain, and its position as an emerging export hub.
