HE Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi, the UAE’s Minister of State for Foreign Trade, spoke to Asia House Corporate Members and its wider network on UAE foreign trade policy and the UAE’s work building stronger trade and investment ties with ASEAN.
The private briefing took place on the sideline of the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (ABIS) 2023 in Jakarta, with the Minister discussing recent initiatives to boost the UAE’s exports and wider trade with ASEAN, including by negotiating Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (CEPAs) in Asia and beyond.
Chaired by Asia House Chief Executive Michael Lawrence OBE, the briefing gave Asia House Corporate Members unique insight into the UAE’s trade negotiation strategy, wider economic reforms to support business in the UAE, as well as the UAE’s strengthening ties with Asia, and their implications for global businesses looking to capitalise on this shift in global trade.
