Matt Terrill, former Chief of Staff and Senior Adviser to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, provided Asia House Corporate Members with an exclusive update on the priorities of the second Trump administration during an off-the-record digital briefing on Tuesday, 21 January.
Speaking from Washington DC, just a day after President Donald Trump’s inauguration, Terrill shared his insights into the new administration’s foreign policy priorities. He offered an insider’s perspective on Secretary Rubio’s anticipated impact as the new Secretary of State and how his leadership style and approach may influence US-China relations, broader engagement across Asia, and US diplomacy in the Middle East.
