In light of the publication of the draft constitution of Thailand last week, British Ambassador to Thailand Mark Kent joined Asia House corporate members for a private briefing discussing recent political and economic developments in Thailand.
Topics covered in the discussion included private sector investment, the future succession and its impact, the historic role of the military in Thai society, the long term economic growth outlook and more broadly EU-Thai relations, ASEAN integration, and China’s role in the region.
Arup, Barclays, GSK, Mitsui & Co Europe, Nikkei and Tesco were among those companies represented at the table.
