Shona Riach, Director for International Finance at HM Treasury, briefed Asia House corporate members this morning on the development of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and the UK’s role within it.
Topics discussed included plans for the AIIB in its first year, regulatory challenges, the bank’s governance structure and the AIIB’s relationship with other financial institutions.
Corporate members represented at the table included Prudential, Standard Chartered, HSBC, KPMG, G3, Linklaters, Rio Tinto, Amec Foster Wheeler, Arup, Jardine Matheson, Mitsui, Eversheds and Nikkei.
