    Published On: 8 March 2021

With Thailand seeking to bounce back from the COVID-19 crisis amid ongoing political unrest, Asia House Corporate Members were briefed by Arkhom Termpittayapaisith, Thailand’s Minister of Finance, on the country’s efforts to return to growth.

The Minister shared his outlook for Southeast Asia’s second largest economy, and outlined the measures being taken to boost economic activity, including financial support for businesses and households, measures to encourage tourism, and the country’s infrastructure investment programme.

Asia House Corporate Members joined the digital briefing from around the world, with the Minister taking an array of questions across a wide range of sectors, including insurance, aviation, and sustainable finance.

Thailand’s plans for tax reform and tourism regulation were also discussed, as was the status of key infrastructure projects in the country.

The off-the-record discussion, chaired by Asia House Chief Executive Michael Lawrence, provided Corporate Members with unique insights on this key regional market.
