Asia House Brexit Series: Sir Martin Donnelly
Sir Martin Donnelly, Permanent Secretary for the Department for International Trade (DIT), will join Asia House corporate members for a private briefing on the current state of play of the new department that he has been brought in to set up.
Sir Martin will provide corporate members with updates on the changes in government machinery and the collaboration of DIT with other departments such as the Department for Exiting the EU and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, as the Department looks to future trade deals as the country leaves the EU.
Prior to this position, Sir Martin was Permanent Secretary for the Department of Business Innovation and Skills from 2010 until July this year. He has extensive economic and international experience. He has held senior civil service jobs in the Cabinet Office, Treasury, FCO, the Home Office and Ofcom. He has also worked in the European Commission, the French Finance Ministry and in a range of senior posts across the British Government.
