HE Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi, the UAE’s Minister of State for Foreign Trade

HE Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi, the UAE’s Minister of State for Foreign Trade, will brief Asia House Corporate Members and its wider network in an off-the-record private briefing on the sideline of the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (ABIS) 2023 in Jakarta.

The briefing will be an exclusive opportunity to discuss directly with His Excellency the most recent developments in UAE trade policy, including the country’s work to boost domestic exports to become a key global trading hub. The discussion will also provide a unique occasion to discuss the UAE’s ongoing economic reforms to support businesses in the UAE.

As highlighted in Asia House’s flagship research publication The Middle East Pivot to Asia, Gulf nations are looking to foster closer economic ties with Asia; in light of this, the Minister will provide insights into the UAE’s ambitions to strengthen economic and political ties with ASEAN, including recent efforts to broker Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (CEPAs) across the region.

The roundtable will be moderated by Asia House Chief Executive Michael Lawrence OBE. To express interest in this event please contact Evie Cramb, Manager, Chairman and CEO Office: evie.cramb@asiahouse.co.uk
