Government ministers and leading business figures share their views and analysis in the latest edition of Asia House’s thought leadership publication, Asia House Insights.
Taking its theme from Asia House’s major trade dialogue in Dubai, the issue explores the Middle East’s pivot to Asia, and features contributions from Baroness Fairhead, UK Minister for Trade and Export Promotion, and His Excellency Abdulla Al Saleh, Undersecretary for Foreign Trade at the UAE Ministry of Economy.
There are also articles by HSBC UAE Chief Executive Abdulfattah Sharaf and John Miu, Chief Operating Officer, ABP Royal Albert Dock London.
The efforts of Gulf economies to diversify, and the challenges they face in doing so, are the subject of an analysis piece by Asia House Advisory, while the publication also explores the Asia House Middle East Programme via an interview with Programme Manager Cordelia Begbie.
The views of Ahmed bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman of DMCC, and the Bahrain Economic Development Board, also feature.
Writing in the foreword, Lord Green of Hurstpierpoint, Chairman of Asia House, said: “Given the Middle East’s increasing importance to global trade and investment, Asia House is placing a greater focus on the region. We have launched a Middle East Programme to ensure our stakeholders gain access to the most accurate insights and analysis, and we are committed to developing this initiative further as economies in the region diversify.
“This approach is reflected in the current publication, which brings together a range of perspectives from those driving change in the global economy, from government ministers to senior business figures, as well as analysis from Asia House Advisory.”
