The UAE Undersecretary for Foreign Trade at the UAE Ministry of Economy, His Excellency Abdulla Al Saleh, will speak at Asia House’s major trade dialogue in Dubai this March.
The Future of Trade: The Middle East’s Pivot to Asia, held in partnership with DMCC, will bring together leading figures from government, trade, investment, and technology to share predictive analysis on the shifts taking place within the world economy.
Held in association with the Government of Dubai and sponsored by HSBC and ABP London Royal Albert Dock, the conference will explore how policy, renewable energy and digital technologies are transforming global trade, with a particular focus on the relationships between the Middle East and Asia.
The conference follows the highly successful New Global Trade Order forum, held by Asia House and DMCC in Dubai last year.
Speaking at the 2018 conference, His Excellency highlighted the importance of trade for the region: “International trade has been, and will continue to be, a significant driver of growth for the UAE’s economy,” he said. “In fact, we predict a rise in the share of the non-oil sector in the UAE’s GDP to 80 percent by 2021, compared to 70 percent in 2017.”
